As the son of two Navy nurses, I was raised on compassion and self-discipline. At thirteen, my family moved from Virginia to California, a major turning point in my life.
High school was the dawn of my love for software, especially the Web. I began learning HTML, CSS, and Java, and I built my first PC.
After high school, I attended the University of California, San Diego. While studying computer engineering, I happened upon a new love for human-computer interaction. I decided to focus on what I cared about most: the end users.
I currently work in customer service at American Specialty Health in San Diego, educating and empowering healthcare providers and patients regarding specialty health benefits for alternative medicine, including chiropractics, acupuncture, and more.
UX is my true passion. I'm always trying to solve the problems around me. Life is hard enough. We should always look to simplify and improve.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching new shows and playing new games, but above all, spending time with my fantastic girlfriend of over four years.
